I am now on day 8 of Atkins.
well I say Atkins, its actually a vegetarian version.
I am roughly following Rose Elliots 'the vegetarian low-carb Diet cookbook'.
and i am doubtful.
the first few days I felt so lethargic and tired. my arms adn legs ached and I wanted to sleep.
day 4 the bad breath set in, and my fiance has actually asked me to chew gum, despite having an aversion to the stuff.
I have tried really hard and now have no apetite what so ever.
I need to lose 2 stone really - so not much of a loss compared to most people on it.
I feel that I was losing so weight, my face looks slimer, and my fiance says he htings i have less of a tummy, but the weight is still the same.
I am now 11.5 stone :(
The diet is so drastic.
the recipes are not amazing. they are described as delisious and I wouldnt exactly disagree.
I made the chocolate cake, but it was only edible after coating it in sweetner, which i hate using. it is so full of chemicals.
I have also take to drinking gallons of diet cherry coke, which is the only nice thing i can put in my mouth, it has not one carb or callorie, but must be so jam packed full of rubbish.
I know that this will work but it is so diheartneing.
I ate a spiced tofu recipe today for lunch, and I am now not a fan of tofu. It really isnt very paletable.
but my options are so limited.
I have stopped wanting to eat cake and pizza and bear and chocolate now, which I guess is a step.
And actually sticking to a diet for over a week is a real goal for me, but I just want to see some signs that it has worked.
I googled it and it appears that after three weeks, some peoeple havent lost any weight.
And what is utterly bizarre is that some of them say that they have lost up to 2 inches from around their weightst but no actually weight loss?????!!?
Where is it going?
